Facts: Being locked by Twitter as a SPAM producer?!! From WHERE does it come really?!!!
Analyzing:I recently got locked out from my Twitter account by Twitter (meaning I can’t use my account anymore) itself since 01-01-2020, AND since that time (10-01-2020) I nearly don’t have ANYMORE SPAM in my email box, strange, ISN’T it?!!! it’s NOT ME who is a SPAM producer, BUT is it Twitter itself OR is it my #VPN service?!!! Well, I can’t prove it, BUT that is a fact!!! A fact WHICH Twitter has to go for investigation and to adjust THEIR Algorithm!!! It’s NOT ME, for sure, THE bad boy!!!
UP to Twitter to sort out THAT problem!!! THEY won’t GET my phone number to unlock my account!!! NO WAY, that I will do that, EVEN if I will lose the account!!!
As on 11 January 2020, my Twitter account was unlocked!

Strange, I make an introduction about Hygiene in an Cyber-Security Blog, ISN’T it?!! Well, there is a reason behind:
WHEN WE use a computer, Smartphone and/or any OTHER technical device (such as cars as well…) WE need to take care of them! AND our body? The same: WE need to have the daily reflexes to make for sure that WE don’t expose it to invasions of bacteria, virus, etc. Examples given: brushing teeth, showers, washing the hands after a toilet go, washing the hands before and after a meal, etc. Wearing a Condom when having sex, a necessary protection! Well OUR condom for the technical devices is the Anti-Virus, a MUST for Any-devices!!! Any-Devices, Apple as well?!!! YES!!! Please check the WHY in my Curation below please:
WE are used to these reflexes, aren’t WE?! At least WE should be!! SO, for computers, Laptops, Smartphones, tablets (iPads etc.), IoT devices (Smart-Home), WE should do the same, they costs a LOT of money and expensive stuff should get taken care of!! THE OTHER reason as well is, THAT WE are using the internet with THEM and so WE are meeting OTHER people with OUR technical device (which ever one it is…).
SO, that exactly the same as WHEN WE are meeting (as persons) OTHER people in Real-World: WHEN WE have a flu, WE will infect OTHER persons with it and an epidemic will occur!! WHEN OUR technical devices (which ever one it is…), connected to the internet, are NOT Up-To-date with the latest Updates they are vulnerable to threats (see it as a virus, e.g.) and once infected, WE will infect ALL the OTHERS as well (epidemic…)!!
As WE use these #AnyDevices with #AnyOS on a daily base, WE SHOULD be aware and develop a sense of Responsibility to protect each other!
Well, the above written is ONLY an introduction, please read my Blog posts in different languages (EN, FR, DE):

NEW Words, Trends to Know and to LEARN about in 21st Century
Are YOU feeling overwhelmed with strange words, NEW trends, when you are reading and following posts, tweets, articles about/and in Social Media!? Well, I can understand YOU!!! There are SO MUCH, if I wouldn’t do curation, I wouldn’t understand it anymore as well, to be honest! 😉 Through my daily curation I see it and I read those articles, from WHERE I learn a lot as an autodidact. WHEN there are some words which I DON’T understand I am going MOSTLY to Wikipedia to find its explication and if NOT sufficient, I use GOOGLE and other online resources to know MORE about it!
For ME it’s THE BEST way (Curation) to learn and to stay up-to-date with my Professional Development! I tried out a lot of different ways after being online since 1998 and believe me, please, it’s the fastes way to keep it UP! 😉 Through Curation I build up my <===> PKM <===> Personal [Professional] Knowledge Management from where I can use it in ANY of my blogs, twitter posts and other Social Media to share it to people willing to learn.
Let us FIRST have a look about WHAT Curation and PKM is (first stuff to read and bring into PracTICE) before WE continue with THE strange words and trends later:
SO, let’s have a look on some (actually a lot…) NEW words and trends in EDUcation and WHO will influence EDUcation below, as THEY are actually running in Real-World, let us START first with the words:
P.S.: The present words with NOT YET a link will get updated later, otherwise I wouldn’t finish this blog post! 😉
Dynamic Learning
Does your classroom offer one-and-done types of learning activities, or does the learning grow, inspire, and evolve throughout the year and beyond? With digital tools like G Suite for Education that are available 24/7, the learning doesn’t have to stop when the bell rings at the end of class, or when the worksheet is turned in, or even when the school year ends. The learning takes on a life of its own; it becomes dynamic. This concept alone should change the way you think about learning in general and change the way you facilitate learning in the classroom.
Through Curation, Social Media twitter and by building a PLN this is perfectly possible!
BTW : Did YOU actually realize that NOW it’s the PracTICE WHICH is dominating the Real-World before it EVEN is taught by EDUcation, a BIG CHANGE, isn’t it!!! Because of Entrepreneurship (bold actions…) the internet helped to CHANGE the world and flipped EDUcation to bring it MORE close to the needs of the workforce/Industry!!!
The NEW Pedagogy is MORE about the learners, students and to put THEM into the drivers seat; looking to find a Win-Win situation about THE How-To to GET THEM learning together in a team (EVEN outside the School-Cocoon with Social Media…) and to prepare THEM for the workforce/labor/industry by being able for <===> Learning-To-Learn <===> for a Life-Long Learning once out of school!

Keywords necessary for me to create this blog post: Pitch, pitching, Blockchain, Fintech, Trusted Certificates, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Crypto Currency, CyberSecurity, Proactive Thinking, Critical Thinking, Digital CitiZENship, Apps, Privacy, Fake News, Growth Mindset, Curation, PLN, PKM, using Creativity in EDUcation,…
WHY is Proactive-Thinking IMPORTANT and a MUST in Modern-Education with and about ICT!?
In the last twenty (20) years Technology has changed a lot; with the internet and the use of ICT by nearly everybody around the world… ICT is present everywhere, nearly anybody is using smartphones, the internet, Social-Media and in the schools slowly but surely BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) is getting accepted and ALSO used in courses. The same in Supermarkets: QR-Codes are nearly on any products, special QR-Codes on advertising panels to attract the customers for new products… BTW: by seeing how much people are running around in the Supermarkets with THEIR Smartphones switched on and talking with whom ever, (secretly) installed Beacons follow YOUR actions and show YOU over Advertising messages on YOUR Smartphones WHERE to GO for YOUR shopping preferences!!
It is a booming market for commercials to sell NEW products about ICT, IoT (Internet of Things) and anything else related to ICT; BUT there are NO laws and regulations (YET) about THE dangers by using THEM! As the MOST sold devices are already connecting to the internet (Smart-TVs, fridge, cameras, household devices…) the users just buy and DON’T get advised about Cyber-Security and Privacy dangers; which is seriously a BIG SHAME and a MUST!! :(((
Well, anybody knows (or at least SHOULD know) that every medal has its reverse! BUT: NEW devices are getting sold with NEW Technologies and the customers (WE users…) are NOT getting advised about the FIRST steps on the How-To to use THEM!!! Is THIS <===> Responsibility!??? <===> I guess NOT as everybody knows already NOW WHAT problems occur about Cyber-Security worldwide and ALSO about Privacy!
Backup A MUST With ALL The Malware AND Especially Ransomware Around! | CyberSecurity
Each day (nearly) WE hear about Cyber-Security problems, such as “Ransomware” e.g. and the BEST solution to be prepared for such incidents is to make a “Backup“!
NOT sure if YOU followed OR if YOU are conscientious about WHAT is going around actually on the internet concerning “Malware” and “CyberSecurity“, BUT YOU SHOULD!!! THIS is a <===> Wake-UP Call <===> take it serious please! That is called ALSO <===> #ProactiveTHINKing <===> I will NOT post another article on the How-To to make a backup as there are already so much around, BUT I will show YOU WHY it is necessary for everyone to make a backup and delivering YOU the BEST articles and tutorials to do so…
Cross-platform malwareis around and infects any OS (Operating System)!!! [START Text from Kaspersky] PC, Mac, Smartphone and Tablet users are under ever-evolving threat from computer viruses and malware. Taking action means understanding what you’re up against. Here’s a look at the major types of malware and their potential impact. [END Text from Kaspersky]
Well, this is WHAT sales men (women) SHOULD tell users as a priority after having bought some NEW stuff interacting with the internet; whatever device(s) it is and handling out ALSO a print out of it from the manufacturer:
CHANGE STRAIGHT the Password from “Admin” to YOUR OWN created Password!!
Check the Privacy settings and reduce THEM on a maximum!!
…
Any guidelines for that!?
SYMANTEC: The Internet of Things (IoT) market has begun to take off. Consumers can buy connected versions of nearly every household appliance available. However, despite its increasing acceptance by consumers, recent studies of IoT devices seem to agree that “security” is not
a word that gets associated with this category of devices, leaving consumers potentially exposed. Check the link below, please, for more info:
Well, first let us say that the word <===> naivety <===>ISN’T a bad word! Let us have a look on its definition:
What is naivety meaning? [Start Text from Wikipedia] Naivety (or naïvety, naïveté, etc.), is the state of being naive—having or showing a lack of experience, understanding or sophistication, often in a context where one neglectspragmatism in favor of moral idealism. One who is naive may be called a naif. [End Text from Wikipedia]
The users (WE) get confronted with new technical stuff which the manufacturers bring on the market without respecting a minimum of Cyber-Security and/or without the necessary knowledge about it!! THEIR main thing is to make money… That’s NOT serious, but so it is handled, as NO (NOT YET…) international laws are existing…
SO, problem is known since very long, BUT NO solutions YET provided!! Here comes NOW <===> #ProactiveTHINKING <===> in action…
As people, users (WE) didn’t get an education about Cyber-Security (in most countries…) Proactive-THINKing should be part of the curriculum of any Modern-EDUcation system which works with and about ICT!!
First of all I would recommend (mandatory) to teach first <===> Critical-THINKing <===> as it is THE base for quality <===> Proactive-THINKing!!
SO, WHAT is Critical-THINKing?
.
Click image, please, to access the article.
Please read the article from <===> https://www.elesapiens.com/blog/critical-thought-educating-competent-citizens/ <===> Critical thought is a cognitive process that proposes the systematic analysis of information, opinion and statements that we accept in our daily life as valid or true. It is a basic skill for a competent, free and responsible citizen…
I invite YOU to read my tweets below, who are explaining mainly…
Click image, please, to access the tweets on twitter.
..
As WE are living in a Sharing-Economy, who doesn’t share photos and links!!?, WE MUST be aware NOT to share malware infected stuff as OTHERS would get their devices (Laptop, PC, computers, tablets, smartphones…) infected! Therefore WE MUST be on <===> Proactive-THINKing <===> to avoid such things happening!
A reminder for <===> Cyber-Security <===> as a <===> Proactive-THINKing thought 😉

My participation for the SID2017
WHAT is special this year with my participation on SID2017?
I created a ===> #GlobalCollaboration#blog <=== from @knolinfos (my pseudo on twitter) & @ICTPHMS& @kimmindy7 for #LEARNing about #DigitalCitizenShip. The authors are from Luxembourg/Europe (me), one female teacher from the USA and a male teacher from the USA WHO are using my blog post to learn together and sharing THEIR practice with YOU dear readers.
Well, there is a lot of different views about ===> Digital CitizenShip <=== WE will explore WHAT could be THE BEST way to teach and to learn about Digital CitizenShip (hashtag on Twitter is #digcit).
How does it come that I post Global-Collaboration blog posts? Well, once the #ProfessionalDevelopment is Upto-Date, one does understand THAT learning in a team brings out a win-win situation and that a generation exchange is benefit for all of the participants as anyone learns from each other. BTW: here below other Global-Collaboration blogs with teaching persons from Australia, USA, France, Luxembourg (me):
Cyber-Security is a shared responsibility, WE are ALL responsible for a more secure Internet and it is ===>OUR responsibility to build up the future for OUR kids, learners and students!<===
WE can do it by learning and teaching the basics of Cyber-Security and ALSO by helping international organizations such as “Safer Internet Day” to become a catalyst for such a difficult task!!!

Learners, students learn BETTER when their brain is free, without any framing, thus meaning: include them into the learning process by guiding them through the <===> LEARNing Process <===> instead of teaching ONLY linear lessons WHERE YOU are the BOSS, give up control and look for a Win-Win situation WHERE students, learners have a voice; WHERE THEY can take THEIR OWN responsibility of THEIR LEARNing. Coach THEM (the students, learners) THE How-To of <===> #LEARNing2LEARN <===> because THAT IS <===> #ModernEDU <===> which they need to be prepared for <===> #LifeLongLEARNing <===> by using Social Media, especially Twitter to build THEIR <===> #PLN Personal [Professional] LEARNing Network <===> through Curation combined with Social Media. And through THAT LEARNing-PathTHEY will be able to create THEIR OWN #PKM <===> Personal [Professional] Knoledge Management.
AND there are also the “Apps“, BUT don’t forget that THEY are ONLY facilitators, they are NOT the change in 21st Century EDUcation; THE change is applying the pedagogy and the 21st Century techniques together. In 21st Century EDUcation it is NOT anymore about the teaching, BUT about the LEARNing and the ===> LEARNing-To-LEARN <=== to give OUR LEARNers, students the necessary knowledge and skills for a ===> Life-Long-LEARNing <=== Once out of school THEY will need constantly to learn to adapt to a very quick changing world!
I suggest to make ===> Coaching <=== with YOUR LEARNers, students where YOU walk through the rows in the classroom by observing THEM and to interact with them ONLY when they need it, learn together with them and create a ===> win-win situation <===, NO hierarchy, BUT a trustful partnership with them. I have done this since 2002 and it works perfect, best results! Find out more below:
In the above mentioned links YOU will see how WE learned together in OUR ===> Global Collaboration Blog <=== by ===> Coaching <=== through using the “DM” (Direct Messages) from Twitter, YES WE used Twitter, it works perfect The same as WE used OUR blogs to communicate and to show OUR LEARNing to others, so that THEY could learn also from us.

The difference between coaching and mentoring
Click the above image please to access the article.
Please read the following article below who explains in detail:
Mentoring is much more hands on and interpersonal. As a leader or supervisor you are working hands on with a team member to facilitate the learning process. Mentoring is sharing experiences, skills, and knowledge. It often takes place with an individual who is learning something that they have no previous knowledge about and it is something that they will need to master or at least be proficient in. Or it maybe learning how to navigate through an organization or explore new career paths.
Coaching
On the other hand, coaching generally does not focus on hard skill such as accounting, project management, or programming to name a few. Coaching is a process that helps one to explore what may be holding them back from their true potential and often is focused more on behaviors than skills.
Think of a baseball coach, someone who is with the team and letting them do the work, however he/she will review the team and try to better their abilities across the field. However imagine the same coach working with his pitcher and trying to teach him how to properly throw a curve ball. The first scenario is simply coaching the team to raise productivity, and the second is mentoring an individual who is trying to learn a new skill or ability that he/she might not be able to properly learn on his or her own.
LEARNing Path For Professional 21st Century LEARNing By ICT PracTICE Concept
.
.
Over the years I developed and designed a possibility on the How-To use ICT for LEARNing and TEACHingwhich will prepare the LEARNers, students to fulfill the needs of the working market. It is mostly build up by coaching and NOT TEACHing as a <===> Win-Win situation is in mind and ALSO Collaboration <===> which are key factors in a modern society.
.
.
.
Let us first have a look on the How-To design a course which gives the learners, students some engagement as THEY could reproduce it themselves after YOU showed them the How-To and will bring in some creativity as well 😉
WE will use THAT system as shown on left-hand side shown image, isn’t it 😉 WE will give OUR learners, students autonomy and coaching them to become <===> Life-Long LEARNers <===> by <===> LEARNing To LEARN <===> through collaboration, by using blogging, curation, Social Media and by putting them into the drivers seat. THEY will learn to take responsibility to survive in a bi-directional world (Real World and Virtual World are interacting…) and WE will coaching THEM as well to be responsible <===> Digital CitiZEN <===> by LEARNing about the basics of <===> Cyber Security <===> as well and ALSO about <===> eSkills <===> as it is THEIR world with ALL the problems present which THEY have to fight for and in it!

My Personal View AND PracTICE
.
.
Please check @yeates_mark on twitter. Click the image to access account!
MY experience described in ONLY some phrases: Give the LEARNers, students (whatever age) the freedom of LEARNing without squeezing THEM into a FRAME and concentrate on guiding them as a coach by analyzing THEIR behavior and show them the How-To to become self-directed learners, autodidacts. SHOW THEM ALSO up from the beginning WHAT THE <===> LEARNing Path <===> will be with design of it and explain THEM that they could design themselves it with a short introduction on the How-To.
.
THEY will learn the ICT-PracTICE which will help them once out of the <===> #SchoolCocoon <===> to be ready for Life-Long LEARNing and to be able to adapt very quickly in the workforce! WHEN YOU show the LEARNers, students <===> WHAT the profit is for THEIR private life <===> YOU will engage them very quickly 😉 AND DON’T teach THEM more as necessary, propose them some links to go further ONLY for those who want!!
WHAT’S my message and WHY did I create this blog post!?
Well, I will encourage all youth and also adults, seniors, oldies to become <===>Life-Long LEARNers <===> and staying Up-To-Date with their knowledge, especially concerning their skills in ICT, called NOW <===> #eSkills <===>! In the modern world YOU will change YOUR job probably +/- 12 times in YOUR working career, it is very rare to stay life-long in the same job and/or same company!!! SO… The workforce is looking for people with ICT skills which YOU mostly didn’t learn at school, right!?
YOU won’t have (mostly) the time to learn by visiting courses, right!? START to become Life-Long LEARNers by LEARNing on YOUR OWN pace, by becoming <===> Autodidacts <===> Self-Directed LEARNers. YOU are able to, I did it, so can YOU!? 😉
I found a job because of my ICT eSkills and I am STILL LEARNing on a daily base routine for being Up-To Date with my <===> Professional Development <===>, even being retired NOW! THE pleasure of LEARNing!
I did THE <===> ICT PracTICE <===> and THAT’S WHAT the workforce needs!!!
Due to my eSkills I could share my knowledge AND expertise ALSO with the below mentioned as well as to a broad range of visitors from around the globe!
AND check my profile below as well, at the bottom of this blog post please! 😉

Well, giving pedagogical and andragocical (Adult Learning) courses since 2002 and being a Life-Long Learning person and interested (and experienced…) in resolving problems and finding NEW ways for BETTER Learning, here below my thoughts, ideas and strategy for a professional approach for #eLeadership and #eSkills. As YOU might have found out, anything starting WITH a prefix such as “e”; e.g. #eSkills comes from the EU. Let us talk first about the vision that the EU has about #eSkills:
[Start text from the MANIFESTO 2015] Much has been written about the digital skills gap and whether Europe is falling behind in the race for digital talent. After some spectacular declines in ICT education enrollments and graduate numbers in the first years of the new millennium, the European Commission developed a long-term e-skills strategy to reverse the worrying trend. Now, and since 2010, the number of ICT students is growing again. The good news today is that there are signs that the rate of growth is quicker than expected. [END text from the MANIFESTO 2015].

First of ALL, to make THIS clear: THERE are more than one actor(s), NOT ONLY EDucation as MOST people would probably think!!! There are (and NEW possibilities as well…):
Education (which has a primordial role to play and a HARD task to propose courses on a VERY quick way…)
Life-Long Learning activities proposed by the Government(s)
And WHAT about #autodidacts, self-learning persons!?
And WHAT about the Learning on the workplaces itself!?
Private life: Tailored courses at home from professional instructors…
Professional instructors giving tailored courses about #eSkills around the country to form more professional instructors to give those tailored #eSkills courses to others: I remember #eLuxembourg WHO initiated the “Internetstuffen” in Luxembourg; a similar action could get taken!
Let us call THEM <===> eSkills Key Instuctors!
On a deeper view (#DeepTHINKing) ALL the mentioned actors mentioned above MUST work together to reach that ambitious goal! THUS meaning, anybody SHOULD have the rights AND the possibility to contribute for any countries <===> #eLEADERship <===> run through #eSkills competency! Well, this said I recommend a national website about <===> #eSkills and #eLEADERship <===> with a forum (discussion board…) as well as a discussion on the professional network <===> LinkedIn <===>.
eSkills is an action-call from the EU to make people, especially workers/employees stronger in and with the use of ICT to be competitive on the world market! THIS said, WE MUST look first on WHAT the workforce needs from skills from students/workers/employees, let us have a look:
THAT concept is mostly based on the <===> Synthesizing Mind <===> from Howard GARDNER.
I recommend YOU to read the following books in this order:
5 Minds for the Future (Howard GARDNER)
FOUR-DIMENSIONAL EDUCATION
The App Generation
.
These mentioned books are THE ONES who were guiding me in my Learning and believe me, THEY will change THE way how you are seeing EDUcation, and they will certainly make you moving for action! Action in and about <===> ModernEDU!
WHAT is Leadership actually and WHAT SHOULD it be in 21st Century!?
WE can’t ANYMORE relay on OLD Leadership as NOW WE have two different worlds: The Real-Worldand THE Virtual-World WHICH are influencing each other!Leadership needs to GET changed and WE have to adapt to it!
[START text from Business Time Zone Global Info] The architect leader knows that the ability to create a nourishing and challenging environment for people to grow in is more important than any technical skill she can possess.
Continuous Improvement – The leader of tomorrow will regularly challenge old beliefs and be passionate about learning and about applying that learning in the real world. She will often ask my favorite question “Who is doing something differently then I am and what can I learn from them?”
The New Leader is Authentic. How and who you are is just as important as what you know! Hold yourself to the highest standards – don’t talk the talk unless you are prepared to walk the walk. Don’t expect of others what you don’t expect from your self. Be real, tell the truth. The leaders that are the most revered are those that let the light of who they are shine through in all they do. They are honest, forthright and clear.
Coach/Facilitator – A leader needs to be a coach not a commander. He needs to hold space open for things to happen. It is said that when leaders do their job properly people believe they have done it themselves. Leaders are there to help people see things from a different perspective, to provide questions that encourage learning and to help turn work experiences into learning experiences.
Our new leader is a Visionary. It’s clearly documented that visionary leaders are successful at mobilizing human potential. A vision provides focus. It’s a tool for aligning energy. Clear vision and purpose provide people with a framework from which to make decisions, it organizes action and effort. [END text fromBusiness Time Zone Global Info]

[GM] AND once again Dan KIRSCH and Gust MEES are making Global-Collaboration to show YOU dear readers, parents, EDUcators, TEACHers, THE problems encountered and the solutions which WE propose to YOU for a BETTER, a Modern EDUcation by professional advice. Teaching and Coaching life isn’t easy at ALL! Especially NOT WHEN persons with an Up-To-Date Professional Development in EDUcation create NEW ways of learning with ICT, Technology and NEW Pedagogy. Rare are the people WHO understand WHAT is actually going on in the world and especially in the “Virtual World”, the internet!!! And THEN using it ALSO for giving courses, come on, a world which MOST DON’T understand!??? That sounds like blasphemy, isn’t it!? People GET thrown out of THEIR normal life, THEIR Comfort-Zone, their well feeling Cocoon in the society in which they live!
WE as authors understand THAT it isn’t easy to understand HOW FAR Technology is ALREADY and THAT MOST people won’t understand it neither, BUT WE as TEACHing, Coaching persons MUST follow UP with it and LEARNing the NEW stuff as well as giving the NEW acquired knowledge to the kids to make THEM ready for the Society WHICH is waiting for professional workers/employees! A very hard job, BUT WE love OUR profession and SO WE do WHAT WE think is the BEST for YOUR kids (OUR kids as well)…
This time the authors, WE, are talking about Social-Media in EDUcation and its benefits for the LEARNers, Students, YOUR kids.
THE authors (as usual) will show up in this blog post with THEIR initials such as <===> [DK] for Dan KIRSCH and [GM] for Gust MEES.
.
Let us talk first WHAT Social Media is to understand it and its influence!
[GM] It is IMPORTANT first to know WHAT it is, whatever WE are talking about, so please check the video below please 😉
.
YOU certainly GOT a GOOD overview about WHAT Social Media is NOW, right!? SO, let us GO for a deeper insight by following my curation about it as well, please:
As YOU have certainly understood NOW WHAT Social Media is YOU will agree THAT it isn’t anything BAD, there are ONLY certain rules to accept, actually the same as in Real-Life BUT with a bit MORE prudence! In Real-Life YOU are NOT connected with the whole world, BUT in Virtual-World YOU are, so keep YOUR mouth shut for WHAT YOU wouldn’t tell YOUR grand mother WHEN using Social Media 😉 WHEN working with Social Media one MUST consider having taught already about <===> Digital CitiZENship <===> WHERE the learners, students have learned already about those rules.

Problems in EDUcation while using Social Media in Modern EDUcation – Acceptance and rejections
WE will discuss here some problems which could occur with a practical example; online friend and co-author “Dan KIRSCH” will tell YOU about:
[DK] The problem with sharing TEACHABLE lessons via social media; from an Educators perspective is explaining to parents/guardians it’s purpose is to be a LIFE LONG LEARNER. Essentially, educating other teachers on new ways of TEACHING content to their students. As well as being a LEARNER myself; finding other useful information and teaching ideas from other EDUCATORS via SOCIAL MEDIA. For instance, this year I created a Physical Education Twitter account in order to showcase what my STUDENTS were LEARNING in class and to hopefully provide ideas for teaching Physical Education to other Physical Education teachers around the globe. On a personal note I created the account also to learn knew ways of teaching Physical Education from other teachers who were on Twitter. Unfortunately, I shut these account down due to privacy concerns. Privacy is a major concern of mine and is something I take very seriously as you can read in blog posts on Digital Citizenship written by Gust and myself. I informed by administrators to write a letter informing my students parents/guardians on “WHY” I use social media in Physical Education class. The following link is the parent letter I wrote. I have also provided links to showcase the importance of using Social Media for Professional Development and growing your Professional Learning Network (PLN).
[DK] The following is a Physical Education Twitter Chat ==> #PEChat I follow in order to learn ideas of how to teach Physical Education as well as sharing my ideas with other teachers (why I have my blog). Again, learning and growing with other Professional Educators via Social Media!! That is the goal and why it needs to be understood and accepted!!.
[DK] The following infographic also lists several #Physed hashtags that Physical Education Teachers can follow on Twitter. The rationale (as previously mentioned) is to collaborate and LEARN new ideas of how to teach Physical Education from other Professionals around the world. This is the issue we must get across to parents/guardians; it is a method of making their child’s educational experience better!!!
[GM] Thank You Dan for YOUR insight here and YOUR encountered experience, which certainly isn’t fun at all for You and any other teacher, educator, instructor, coach, who encounter such a situation and WHO want to use Social Media in EDUcation. It would be interesting to know WHY this particular parent was reacting so, especially because none of its children were involved!
Let us remember the benefits of sports and body activities as well as the use of Technology and Social Media:
[DK] Speaking of Collaboration the following link ==> http://bit.ly/29qzY4kis a google drive shared folder between several Physical Education Teachers around the United States who have joined and shared their ideas/resources for teaching Physical Education! Life Long Learning/Collaboration at it’s best!!!
.
The following paints a perfect example of how to incorporate ICT within Physical Education and it’s importance within Modern Education!! Follow ==> Andy Hair on Twitter ==> @MrHairPhysEd. [DK]

.
. There are NEW ways of teaching AND especially about and WITH “Social Media” in <===> #ModernEDU <===> and co-author and online friend [Dan KIRSCH] will tell YOU!
[DK] There a variety of ways of teaching with Social Media! For instance, in my current position as a public K-12 Physical Education (PhysEd) teacher there are several methods in which I use Social Media in class (even though PhysEd is not usually associated with Social Media and/or ICT). First off, the major reason I incorporate Social Media within my PhysEd classes is to learn new methods/activities to teach to my students! This includes; new lesson plans, how to set-up perceptual motor centers, instant activities, and cooperative learning activities etc…
The major player in learning these new activities via Social Media is the use of Twitter!! I have followed several PhysEd teachers on Twitter who utilize the Social Media platform to showcase what their students are learning as well as collaborating during twitter chats! This is a perfect segue into another reason why I use Twitter, which is to teach other PhysEd colleagues different activities and strategies I use within my own PhysEd classroom!! It provides a way of collaborating with other teachers around the country as well as continuing the process of being a Life Long Learner! The collaboration process via Twitter allows those Physed teachers and other teachers of different content areas to learn about new mobile apps and technologies that can be implemented with in the PhysEd classroom!
For example, the use of video recording apps, music apps, stopwatch apps, and other technologies are brought to the forefront via the collaboration that takes place on Twitter. Finally, it allows me to showcase what my students are learning during class. This is where blogging comes into play. I use my blog ==>mrkirsch.edublogs.orgas way to show parents/guardians what their children are learning in PhysEd class; whereas without technological advances and platforms this would be possible!
