WHY is Proactive-Thinking IMPORTANT and a MUST in Modern-Education with and about ICT!?

.

Most dangerous phrase...

.

WHY is Proactive-Thinking IMPORTANT and a MUST in Modern-Education with and about ICT!?

Most dangerous phrase...In the last twenty (20) years Technology has changed a lot; with the internet and the use of ICT by nearly everybody around the world… ICT is present everywhere, nearly anybody is using smartphones, the internet, Social-Media and in the schools slowly but surely BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) is getting accepted and ALSO used in courses. The same in Supermarkets: QR-Codes are nearly on any products, special QR-Codes on advertising panels to attract the customers for new products… BTW: by seeing how much people are running around in the Supermarkets with THEIR Smartphones switched on and talking with whom ever, (secretly) installed Beacons follow YOUR actions and show YOU over Advertising messages on YOUR Smartphones WHERE to GO for YOUR shopping preferences!!

It is a booming market for commercials to sell NEW products about ICT, IoT (Internet of Things) and anything else related to ICT; BUT there are NO laws and regulations (YET) about THE dangers by using THEM! As the MOST sold devices are already connecting to the internet (Smart-TVs, fridge, cameras, household devices…) the users just buy and DON’T get advised about Cyber-Security and Privacy dangers; which is seriously a BIG SHAME and a MUST!! :(((

Well, anybody knows (or at least SHOULD know) that every medal has its reverse! BUT: NEW devices are getting sold with NEW Technologies and the customers (WE users…) are NOT getting advised about the FIRST steps on the How-To to use THEM!!! Is THIS <===> Responsibility!??? <===> I guess NOT as everybody knows already NOW WHAT problems occur about Cyber-Security worldwide and ALSO about Privacy!

Backup A MUST With ALL The Malware AND Especially Ransomware Around! | CyberSecurity

Information LiteracyEach day (nearly) WE hear about Cyber-Security problems, such as “Ransomware” e.g. and the BEST solution to be prepared for such incidents is to make a “Backup“!

NOT sure if YOU followed OR if YOU are conscientious about WHAT is going around actually on the internet concerning “Malware” and “CyberSecurity“, BUT YOU SHOULD!!! THIS is a <===> Wake-UP Call <===> take it serious please! That is called ALSO <===> #ProactiveTHINKing <===> I will NOT post another article on the How-To to make a backup as there are already so much around, BUT I will show YOU WHY it is necessary for everyone to make a backup and delivering YOU the BEST articles and tutorials to do so…

Cross-platform malware is around and infects any OS (Operating System)!!! [START Text from Kaspersky] PC, Mac, Smartphone and Tablet users are under ever-evolving threat from computer viruses and malware. Taking action means understanding what you’re up against. Here’s a look at the major types of malware and their potential impact. [END Text from Kaspersky]

WHAT SHOULD users know to do as FIRST STEPS!??

programmerman2Well, this is WHAT sales men (women) SHOULD tell users as a priority after having bought some NEW stuff interacting with the internet; whatever device(s) it is and handling out ALSO a print out of it from the manufacturer:

  • CHANGE STRAIGHT the Password from “Admin” to YOUR OWN created Password!!
  • Check the Privacy settings and reduce THEM on a maximum!!

Any guidelines for that!?

How can that naivety be changed!?

Well, first let us say that the word <===> naivety <===>ISN’T a bad word! Let us have a look on its definition:

What is naivety meaning? [Start Text from Wikipedia] Naivety (or naïvetynaïveté, etc.), is the state of being naive—having or showing a lack of experienceunderstanding or sophistication, often in a context where one neglects pragmatism in favor of moral idealism. One who is naive may be called a naif. [End Text from Wikipedia]

The users (WE) get confronted with new technical stuff which the manufacturers bring on the market without respecting a minimum of Cyber-Security and/or without the necessary knowledge about it!! THEIR main thing is to make money… That’s NOT serious, but so it is handled, as NO (NOT YET…) international laws are existing…

SO, problem is known since very long, BUT NO solutions YET provided!! Here comes NOW <===> #ProactiveTHINKING <===> in action…

As people, users (WE) didn’t get an education about Cyber-Security (in most countries…) Proactive-THINKing should be part of the curriculum of any Modern-EDUcation system which works with and about ICT!!

First of all I would recommend (mandatory) to teach first <===> Critical-THINKing <===> as it is THE base for quality <===> Proactive-THINKing!!

SO, WHAT is Critical-THINKing?

If I Would OWN a Company, WHAT Skills Would I Expect From MY Workers In 21st Century!?

programmerman-animatedBecause of ICT there are sooooo many NEW possibilities to use with the computers and the internet. Just imagine that a company owner should employ people for each special application, NO WAY! (S)He wouldn’t have enough money to afford it!!! So it is necessary that <===> the 21st Century worker/employee would be an all-rounder! <===> An all-rounder WHO comes straight out of school and from whom the business/workforce could profit directly!!!

WHAT would be these skills the business/workforce will need!?

First of ALL it SHOULD be an AWARENESS about the Cyber Security problems WHO could happen and WHO could destroy a company and/or a companies reputation! <===> Forewarned is Forearmed! <===> is the BEST protection as it is anchored in the mind! WE will discuss this in the next chapter in depth!

Sometimes it is necessary as well to edit some text in a Word (or else Open Source) document and to use ALSO photos in these documents: SO… WE need to have knowledge about <===> Copyright <===>, photo editing and publishing as well as the how-to to transform these documents into a PDF.

A company, to stay competitive, needs ALSO to know WHAT is going on on the global market and needs to be up-to-date with latest NEWS, WHAT would be BETTER than making <===> curation <===> about it and to share these knowledge internally in the company through an intranet!? SO, my employees SHOULD know how to make curation which THEY could use as well for THEIR OWN learning by using a PKM <===> Personal [Professional] Knowledge Management <===> https://globaleducationandsocialmedia.wordpress.com/2014/01/19/pkm-personal-professional-knowledge-management/.

AND as WE as a company need to be up-to-date by using ICT WE SHOULD ALSO being able to create a blog from where WE inform OUR customers about WHAT is NEW in OUR company and eventually report ALSO about warnings, awareness about some products, as well as through OUR blog informing OUR customers through a NEWSLETTER! Those are part of a 21st Century orientated company!

Learn more about blogs:

AND didn’t WE forgot something!? WHAT’s about <===> Social Media <===>!? WE as a competitive company SHOULD ALSO be present on Facebook AND on Twitter, isn’t it!? SO… OUR employees SHOULD know ALSO to handle it:

Searching on Google and/or on other Search Engines (allowed in the company or NOT) will happen and could infect the computer and EVEN the whole company IT infrastructure WHEN an employee doesn’t know WHAT s(he) is doing!!! SO… Better is that the employees know WHAT are the dangers and my company as well SHOULD have installed on ALL the computers different awareness and protection software, here my advice:

How Could EDUcation Teach Students To Get These skills!?

Teaching the profession that....

In a modern, very quick changing world because of ICT, EDUcation MUST follow to provide the business/workingforce with workers/employees WHO have the necessary skills, EVEN WITHOUT knowing WHAT next jobs would be! MOST say that it isn’t possible and a BIG challenge, BUT a challenge WHO actually is MORE easy by following my advice by reading my blog posts:

Problems With Innovation In Schools!?

programmerman2In case IF (MOST probably have…) YOU would have problems to GET the necessary as mentioned in my posts made into action in YOUR EDU-System, read the below advice:

.

Collaboration, Team-Work AND Global Collaboration

sharing-iconAs mentioned already in the above infographic there is a need to work in a team, collaboration AND Global-Collaboration (with manufacturers, re-sellers…) are a MUST! EVEN in the schools Global-EDUcation is a MUST to make the students, learners ready to get used to it 😉

I made several Global-Collaboration on blogging for <===> LEARNing To LEARN <===> about <===> Digital CitiZENship and Cyber Security <===> with  and , check below please:

WHEN being involved to work in a team, WE need to get used to it as well as to THE letter “C” in ICT, which means <===> Communication <===> as BOTH are part of an efficient work relationship which is necessary for the wealth of a company!

IF EDUcation Doesn’t Give ME WHAT I Want, How Could I Coach MY Workers To LEARN

Well,as already mentioned above, my advice is STILL THE SAME, please check:

programmerman-animated.

WHAT’S my message and WHY did I create this blog post!?

Well, I will encourage all youth and also adults, seniors, oldies to become <===>Life-Long LEARNers <===> and staying Up-To-Date with their knowledge, especially concerning their skills in ICT, called NOW <===> #eSkills <===>! In the modern world YOU will change YOUR job probably +/- 12 times in YOUR working career, it is very rare to stay life-long in the same job and/or same company!!! SO… The workforce is looking for people with ICT skills which YOU mostly didn’t learn at school, right!?

YOU won’t have (mostly) the time to learn by visiting courses, right!? START to become Life-Long LEARNers by LEARNing on YOUR OWN pace, by becoming <===> Autodidacts <===> Self-Directed LEARNers. YOU are able to, I did it, so can YOU!? 😉

I found a job because of my ICT eSkills and I am STILL LEARNing on a daily base routine for beingUp-To Date with my <===> Professional Development <===>, even being retired NOW! THE pleasure of LEARNing!

I did THE <===> ICT PracTICE <===> and THAT’S WHAT the workforce needs!!!

Due to my eSkills I could share my knowledge AND expertise ALSO with the below mentioned as well as to a broad range of visitors from around the globe!

LEARNing To LEARN, the PracTICE

programmerman2With ALL that mass of information which WE get on each day in OUR technology driven Digital World, with the messages from Social Media through OUR PLN (Personal [Professional] Learning Network), there is a MUST to organize OUR LEARNing! WE MUST unlearn the OLD and learn to learn differently as that was the case twenty years ago!

WE are lucky, Social Media has emerged a lot of different tools which WE can use to organize OUR learning and to have access to it in the cloud, no need to have the learning stuff with us. WE find everything ONLINE and WE can build OURSELVES learning space, ALSO! ALL we need to do is to tinkering a bit around with different tools and merge them together to build ONE tool from whom WE will profit to learn at our own pace!

I will present to YOU a way who makes it very easy to organize YOUR learning and ALSO to provide YOU the way how you can learn on a very effective and efficient way. WE will learn about curation, PKM and the use of ThingLink, that are the three components WE need. Through “Curation“, “Social Media” and a “PLN” WE are on ===> Collaboration <===, it’s NOT anymore the “ME”, BUT the “WE”!

As MOST is build around ===> Student Centered LEARNing <=== check below to learn more, please:

I intend to present different blog posts with different possibilities on ===> LEARNing To LEARN <===, this one is the first one of a series still to come…

Remember THAT in 21st Century EDUcation it is about ===> Student Centered EDUcation <===, Check below for more information:

.

Let’s Start With Curation, What Is Curation And How To Use It?

I will try to explain to YOU in one sentence WHAT ===> Curation is <===: it is doing a research on the internet by using YOUR ===> Critical THINKing <===, analyzing the found and making a selection of ONLY the BEST found which YOU annotate THEN with YOUR personal reflections and THEN share it with YOUR ===> PLN <===. This is BETTER than looking ONLY on research results from the major search engines as it is filtered by humans with THEIR insights! Check below, please, for the How-To.

PKM” means ===> Personal [Professional] Knowledge Management <===, it is THE way how people can (and SHOULD) OWN OUR knowledge, THE way on How-To organize OUR LEARNing. It isn’t actually that difficult as it seams;) It is ONLY THE habit to know How-To do it, so WHAT are YOU waiting for to adapt for a BETTER way of LEARNing, follow the steps below, please 😉

OURPKM” is depending MOSTLY from OUR “PLN” in the 21st Century as it is related to ===> Social Media <=== (Twitter, Facebook and…) because WE GET most information from THEM!

Some PracTICE To Foster Creativity

programmerman-animatedThere are a multitude of tools which WE could use to foster the creativity of the learners, such as “Story Telling“, coding with Scratch and other programs, comics, and interactive images with links and videos such as “ThingLink“, which I will present here with some practical examples. Below my curation about ThingLink where YOU can first read about it for a better understanding:

.

First of all, please let me tell YOU this: to engage YOUR learners show THEM some practical examples and let THEM play around with them. THEY will have understood then what it is about and THEN YOU ask them to create THEMSELVES a new interactive image with ThingLink, a private one. One from where THEY will get some profit for THEIR private life; such as e.g. my vacation trip (preparation) such as I did here ===> Schwarzwald | Black Forest | Forêt Noire (DE) | Europe <===, my Garden (for nature lovers) as I did here ===> My Wild Garden | Panorama View With Localisation Of The Flowers <===, for people who playing sports competitions and/or visiting them, such as I did here ===> Darts-Clubs in Luxembourg | FLD-2013 <===, where is my favorite music band and/or singer playing its next concert?, creating its OWN “PKM” (Personal [Professional] Knowledge Management) and/or courses, such as I Did here ===> Skills needed in the 21st Century from Educators, Teachers <===, and here ===> Learning IT-Security <===, … Well, let YOUR imagination flow to find more examples, I am sure YOU will find a lot 😉 Let it GO, let it FLOW!

In the above mentioned way of LEARNing (Project Based Learning), the students will learn about “Sustainability” while walking in the nature by using their smartphones to take photos and videos and/or are using a professional photo machine and will discover so the nature and the fauna and flora. They will learn how to take photos (golden rule / Goldener Schnitt), learning about gardening, learning to make online searching for the photographed flowers, animals, insects, learning to make curation of their search results, learning to create their own PKM (Personal [Professional] Knowledge Management), learning to love the nature and animals, learning to create Slideshows, learning to upload a video on Youtube, creating blogs…

Ideas For Valuable HomeWork-PracTICE

.

community-jpegLots of discussions around about the value of Home-Work, should there still be some and/or should Home-Work get cancelled at ALL!? I have a different approach to it and I think that one should still give Home-Work to the learners, students, BUT on a different way!

.

WHY NOT using the Home-Work to let the learners, students, learn NEW stuff by themselves!? Sounds strange to YOU? Let me explain, please:

Imagine that in a week time (or two…) YOU would like to discuss a special Topic with YOUR learners, OK? As Home-Work give THEM the possibility to make THEIR own “Curation” about it while using the different present tools of curation to be able to do that specific task, find below my selection:

.

With ALL the other possibilities while THEY need to make a deep searching on the internet, show THEM ALSO my blog about BETTER searching here:

.

students-workforce

Don’t explain anything, just give THEM a challenge and tell them that those who have read that blog would have BETTER chances to find the appropriate content, play the psychological card 😉 THEY would learn and THEY would be engaged to get out the BEST content for THEIR OWN

Let THEM make the choice of THEIR OWN tools and THEIR OWN acquired knowledge through my blog and my curations! Let THEM own THEIR LEARNING, or THEY do it alone and/or THEY do it in a team, UP TO THEM!

.

.I THINK that this is easy to do, isn’t it!? BUT, didn’t WE forget something? When WE are surfing around on the Internet WE could face some surprises, getting redirected to malicious websites, websites who could infect OUR computers and any other devices connecting to the Internet!

SO… WHAT about to tell YOUR learners, students a bit about How-To know which websites are considered being trustful and which ones are malicious!? Don’t fear, it is very easy, please follow my FREE advice here:

.

With such an approach YOU certainly will engage YOUR learners, students, for a BETTER Learning, critical thinkers and organized people! Curation has a lot of positive aspects, use it 😉

Stay tuned for next blog posts and FREE courses 😉

Best Internet Search Practices

Best Internet Search Practices

Evolution of Education: Wordle Logo

Searching on the Internet

globe-pc

Actually everybody knows what it means when WE say searching something on the Internet, and most people think of Google as a search engine! BUT searching is not equal searching, different people will get different search results and that is NORMAL!

Why?

Let me explain, please:

                        • The quality of the answer is ONLY as good as the question is!
                        • As more precise the question, as BETTER quality the answer would be!
                        • Also meaning that: as BETTER informed one is (more knowledge) as certainly one asks better questions (mostly…)
                        • The search engine will NOT replace the brain 😉

.

.

Demonstration of Searching in the PracTICE

sharing-iconLet’s make a demonstration of this in the PracTICE, in the classroom together with the learners. The learners will play a role-play where they will be the different search engines…

How could this be realized?

It’s actually a very easy Scenario:

Step 1

  • First ask your learners which search-engines they know and they should think and write it down.
  • They could also already search on the internet to find more.
  • Ask some of them to come to the chalk board and write the found results on it.
  • If you have a whiteboard technology, so let them do it while using the learner interface.

Step 2

  • Compare it with your own list.
  • Explain that there are normal search engines and meta search-engines.
  • You got now the number of search-engines and the names of them.
  • Assign a search-engine to the learners, one per learner only.
  • Design a search-word, example “chair” and write it on a sheet of paper about the size of DIN A4.
  • Below that word to search, fill in also the names of the search-engines by leaving a bit place for the search-result below the name.
    • The paper sheet could already be prepared.
  • Take the sheet of paper and shape it into a paper-ball.

Step 3

  • Tell your learners now that you will throw the “paper-ball” to someone who needs to fill in his search-result.
  • Once done so, this person should shape it again into a paper-ball and throw it to another person.
  • That person does exactly the same, and so on…
  • When ALL the persons did their job, THEY will throw the paper-ball back to the teacher.

.

Step 4

  • The teacher opens the paper-ball, scans it and shows it with the beamer, and/or won the white-board to the learners and explains the different search results! They will be different…
  • NOW, the teacher goes to next step and explains how IMPORTANT it is to give the search engines the exact query…
    • In OUR example we used “chair”, this is NOT enough! WE should use “metal chair”, or “wooden chair”, or “plastic chair”, or “modern chair”, or “LifeStyle chairs”… and so on… As more precise WE ask, as BETTER results WE will get!

.

See the screenshots below who will show YOU the difference:

.

The word ===> chair <=== results by 624,000,000 answers

Search result: chair

.

.

The word ===> plastic chair <=== results by 60,000,000 answers

Search results: plastic chair"

.

.

The word ===> “plastic chair” <=== results by 3, 450,000 answers

Search results: "plastic chair"

.

.

The word ===> “red plastic chair” <=== results by 339,000 answers

Search results: "red plastic chair"

.

SO, as YOU have remarked NOW, as more precise YOU answer the search engines (e.g. Google), as more precise OUR results will be and ALSO less results are shown! This makes it much more easy to find the adequate stuff 😉

Search ONLY the secure websites!!!

programmerman2One can’t trust any web site and any content published on Internet, don’t be naive! It’s the same as on real world, there are bad guys and good guys, but how to find out? My favorite FREE Software to make me my Online Life easier and more secure as they show me which web sites are trustworthy and which websites I shouldn’t visit at all because they are malicious and could infect my computer is McAfee SiteAdvisor!!! But don’t forget also, there is and never will be a 100% security!

Tip: you may use different similar software and add-ons together, there is no problem to do so. I use McAfee SiteAdvisorWOT and as I have installed Symantec Internet Security (security suite) I get also their results shown… Other Security-Suites from different security manufacturers are also proposing similar solutions…

Curation could also save people of same interests a lot of time and provides them with valuable content which could get used to link back to them in written articles, blogs, web sites and social media sites. Also one learns from each other in the curation community as one has the possibility to follow interesting curation.

As an ICT course instructor most of my curation is related to educational content and so I provide the curate content to an educational audience and to people who are willing to learn. Therefore I see curation also as help for a collective global learning and a contribution to a collective intelligence.

Curation will probably become the next generation of search! Why? Because the curated content is done by humans who give ALSO their insight(s), SO… the results in search are more valuable then ONLY the offered results by a machine who is depending on its algorithm…

Is your Professional Development Up-To-Date?

programmerman2I think that “Is MY Professional Development Up-To-Date?” is the first question which you need to ask yourselves! You can ONLY give BEST and QUALITY courses when knowing about the latest knowledge in a 21st Century Education. But ===> HOW TO know this? <===

That’s a question I am getting asked very often from Teachers and Teacher-Students around the world through my Social Media presence on Twitter and I must say what I see on a global base doesn’t make me feel really happy! Lots of teachers around the globe are tweeting, which I encourage to do as much as possible by joining ALSO a so called “PLN“, a “Personal Learning Network“, but ONLY a few shows a real understanding, competencies, about what they are doing; even the so called “Edu-Stars” in certain countries! So, to take away some misunderstanding from the above said, I don’t make teacher-bashing! I ONLY will show how difficult it is to follow to be up-to-date ==> Nobody Is Perfect! <==, me neither! It’s an analyzing from my daily Social Media connections… The CHANGE is very quick and ALL of us have problems to follow that quick ALSO! That is WHY it is so IMPORTANT to learn on a daily base to be still able not missing the train 😉 [my advice]! ===> Life Long Learning! <===

And didn’t WE forget something in the above mentioned!? YES, WE did! When working with computersSmartphonesTablets and any device connecting to the Internet WE have to consider ALSO the aspect of Cyber-Security and Internet-Safety! And what about “Bring Your Own Device“, called also “BYOD ===> Twitter Hashtag = #BYOD <===

Sounds strange to YOU!? It shouldn’t as YOU have to accept that any Technology present and certainly also in the future requires Safety and Security knowledge! Especially the Technology who is connecting to the Internet!

Why!???

sharing-iconOnline learning, e-Learning, m-Learning and BYOD are interconnected in many ways with the Real-World, both are influencing each other! By sharing information with others WE  must also take care about WHAT WE are sharing!

This MUST be known, especially concerning Cyber-Security! I will explain in a different course (in depth) ===> why Cyber-Security is a MUST in 21st Century Learning and Teaching <===, for the moment feel free to visit my following FREE courses to get an overview:

Ideas for “Professional Development”

.

thumbs upRecently WordPress introduced a new Plug-In. [Start Text from EDUDEMIC] The new WordPress plugin from WooThemes (a popular WordPress premium theme provider) lets you start up your own online school with ease. It’s as simple as installing a WordPress plugin. The actual content and other school-y stuff is, of course, up to you. But the technical stuff is taken care of by this new plugin. [End Text from EDUDEMIC]

.

.

SO, my idea behind that NEW plugin is that teachers with a good knowledge HELP other teachers with their “Professional Development” by creating such a platform! THINK about it and use the “Social Learning” factor in spreading the word on Twitter 😉

BTW: Did You Know that WordPress is providing ALSO a Template called “WordPress Annotum” with which it is possible to collaborate with multi-authors, even on an academic way!? Check out the link(s) below to learn more:

You Need To Be An Expert On Learning Before Teaching!

.

A Curator Is An Expert Learner-L2L

.

The BEST teachers are the teachers who are the BEST LEARNERS, that is NOT a secret anymore and it is the TRUTH! Somebody who knows about “Learning To Learn” is able to forward ALSO that precious knowledge, as in my eyes Learning To Learn” is the MOST IMPORTANT knowledge!

Important quotes about the above:

  • The object of teaching a child is to enable him to get along without a teacher. Elbert Hubbard (1856-1915) American author, editor and printer.
  • It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare; it is because we do not dare that they are difficult.” (Seneca the Younger)
  • I cannot teach anybody anything, I can only make them think. – Socrates
  • Education is what remains when we have forgotten all that we have been taught.

George Savile, Marquis of Halifax (1633-1695) English statesman and author.

  • The whole object of education isto develop the mind. The mind should be a thing that works. Sherwood Anderson (1876–1941) American novelist and short story writer.
  •  Education … has produced a vast population able to read but unable to distinguish what is worth reading.

    G. M. Trevelyan (1876-1962) British historian

  • You can lade a man up to th’ university, but ye can’t make him think.  Finley Peter Dunne (1867—1936) U.S. author, writer and humorist.
  • Teachers open the door, you enter by yourself  Chinese proverb.

sharing-iconThat’s a question which you have to ask yourself, read the following for more information: [Start Text from Are You Committed Enough to Invest in Yourself?]  ===> A 9-to-5 career, if that is your model, is a recipe for career failure. <===

Because of the constant change that is swirling around all of us and our organizations, it does not matter where you are. We are all in the middle of the storm. And by the way, when I mention the negatives of being a 9-to-5 person, I am not talking about having to be a workaholic instead. I am talking about being committed to what YOU chose as a profession.   [End Text from Are You Committed Enough to Invest in Yourself?]

Why Letting Go of the Past is So Difficult

2) Collaboration with the learners and ALSO with other teachers and principals is required!

3) Win-Win Situation between teachers and learners…

4) Less of Hierarchy, where it means the fear of some teachers to lose power over the students when being a coach…

5) Go away from Linear-Learning, NOT A-Z while using A-B-C-D-E…-Z, use A-Z-K-B and so on as with ICT one can combine different knowledge in one course by time…

.

KEYWORDS FOR THIS FREE COURSE and what you will learn:

“Knowledge is a treasure, but practice is the key to it.”

.

YOU will learn about WHAT YOU should know to become a great teacher:

===> All the possible quality resources where YOU can learn on YOUR OWN pace as a self-learner (autodidact), some ideas to think about for a BETTER and quickest way to get the teachers on the TOP of “Professional Development” Up-To-Date” Level! <===

AND: THE MOST IMPORTANT when working with ICT ===> basic knowledge of Cyber-Security!

Basics of Cyber-Security Practice, Proactive Thinking, Cyber-Hygiene, hygiene, Awareness, motivation, engagement, heroes, Security-Scouts, critical thinking, stay out of the box, adapt to new technologies, be aware of the malware, nobody is perfect, knowing the dangers and risks, responsibility, responsibility of School, responsibility of Education, responsibility of IT-Admin, responsibilities of BYOD users, Apple insecurity, Insecurity of Apps, Principals responsibilities, Mobile Device Management (MDM), Mobile Application Management (MAM), risks of BYOD, BYOD-Policy, IT-Security Infrastructure, Teacher-Parents Meeting, Cyberwar, Cyberwarfare, Government, Internet-Safety, IT-Security knowledge basics, UK govt encourages insurers to reward good IT security…

  • The weakest link in the Security Chain is the human! If you don’t respect certain advice you will get tricked by the Cyber-Criminals!

===> NOBODY is perfect! A security by 100% doesn’t exist! <===

===> “Nothing in life is to be feared. It is only to be understood.” – Marie Curie – <===

.

Protecting the organization’s network and its data from attack and misuse requires more than just a BYOD mentality; establishing secure, mobile-enabled operations requires a mobility access control program that includes corporate-provisioned, approved employee- and partner-owned devices as well as unmanaged guest devices.
